Supply Chain Spotlight: UIS Group of Companies

Energy and Michigan businesses go hand in hand. Local energy companies depend on Michigan vendors and suppliers to help create, distribute, and supply affordable, and reliable energy to all Michiganders. AMP knows how important these businesses are, and that’s why we’re celebrating them on our Community page!

Today we’re highlighting UIS Group of Companies. Businesses like UIS are a valuable piece of Michigan’s supply chain. The businesses that make up the supply chain are not only providing the goods and services necessary to produce the energy we need, but they also play an integral role in our state’s economy. The ripple of effect of investing in local energy goes beyond the energy companies, and the energy industry. This kind of investment supports local businesses, like UIS, and the job opportunities they provide to other Michiganders.

Looking Towards the Energy Future
UIS Group prides itself on being a one-stop shop for electrical services, and John Patry, the owner, recognizes the value of an all-of-the-above energy mix. “The move away from coal impacted our business, but, fortunately, we were able to replace that work with the new windmill and solar facilities that have been created throughout Michigan,” said Patry. “We also look forward to working at the new natural gas plants that are coming online soon.”

All Star Staff
Employees at UIS Group know energy. As field service leaders, UIS staff are among the brightest electricians, engineers, and technicians. Patry had nothing but excellent things to say about his team. “They consistently show a mission to serve no matter what the time is, and they are committed to ongoing learning—an essential trait in this complex electrical world.”

Businesses like UIS Group play a critical role in delivering energy statewide. Their contribution to the state supply chain powers a bright energy future for Michigan!
