It’s hard to believe summer’s already over, but the cooler temperatures are a sure sign we’re in for another beautiful Michigan fall. Before we break out the pumpkins for carving, we want to take a quick look back at the AMP Energy Efficiency Challenge from earlier this summer.
These actions may seem small on their own, but added up together, they equal major energy savings that helps Michigan remain a leader in cutting carbon emissions and protecting the environment for future generations. It’s all a part of securing the cleaner energy future all Michiganders deserve.
Thank You for Stepping Up
Today, we’re happy to report that the AMP energy efficiency challenge blog post was the second-most viewed post we had from the day it was published up until now, with hundreds of Michiganders showing interest in stepping up their energy efficiency game. What’s more, we were able to reach thousands of followers on social media and engage them in the challenge.
We’d like to thank everyone who participated in the AMP Energy Efficiency Challenge—but also remind you that this isn’t just important to think about in the summer. Energy efficiency is something we should work on throughout the fall and all year-round, especially as the temperatures continue to drop and we make the switch from cooling to heating our homes.
Looking Ahead to the Fall and Winter
We encourage you to keep up the good work and continue implementing the small-but-important energy efficiency changes we outlined for you back in July. We’ll also keep you updated what you can do to save energy (and potentially money) in the fall and winter. A few examples include:
Stay tuned and we’ll be back with more information as we get further into the fall!
